After the discovery of the bet tohorah, a water bottling company was set up at Jacob’s Well, taking advantage of the sixty thousand gallons of water that pour from the spring every day. The water was bottled in special Bristol Blue glass, which was invented by Isaac Jacobs in the eighteenth-century, a Jewish immigrant to Bristol.

1980s

Notes

I live just off Constitution Hill, near the junction with Jacob's Wells Road, and am puzzled by the reports of the water bottling company setting up business - I see no evidence of it! The building that is shown as housing Jacob's Well on wikipedia seems to be a private residence. I'd be grateful for clarification.
