Video 44659/Br/1/I83 contains footage of The Venture Inn, on Melvin Square. Denzil Morgan came in on 11 May 2015 and contributed information about this as his father, Idwal Morgan, was the landlord of the pub. The pub no longer exists as it was bought by Mary and John Smith, who converted it into flats In the footage of the pub, Denzil Morgan was able to identity his grandfather, Dai Morgan; Ray Douglas, the head barman; Jimmy Foulks; Jimmy Davies; Joe Monday; and Chrissy Hosken.

 

Christopher Hosken came to KWMC 12 May 2015. He was drummer for Circle, who played The Venture Inn with his brother, John Hosken (guitarist). Younger brother Robert Hosken joined the band later. Robert Hosken can be seen interviewing Merrywood Boys headmaster, Mr Davis, on video 44659-Br-1-120_2.
