Of the many local shops that once lined the streets of Greenbank, the Spar shop is one of the oldest remaining stores. Pictures from the early twentieth century show it as "Lusty's Corner Shop", later it passed through several other owners until Jeff Turpin bought the shop in 1965. Listen to Jeff's recollections of how the shop itself has changed in those fifty years and how it has always played an important role for the local community.
