Rosie the Riveter(as the poster became known after WW2) was a propaganda poster encouraging woman to help fight the home battle in America and Britain. The poster was a symbol for female empowerment during the war. I am proud to have a Step-Grandmother who also happed to be a riviter, working on Spitfire plane and later Hurricane plane during the war. This home support is a great act to recognise as it made such a big impact on our effectiveness when manufacturing equiptment during the war.
