In the 1920s, Packer's Ground with the adjacent Bruce Cole Institute was used by the Gloucestershire cricket team for their official games. The picture is from the match between Gloucestershire and Sussex of May 13-16, 1922. Several other games were held at Packer's Ground during this time, such as a match between Gloucestershire and Scotland in 1925.
